Third Year Construction Module teaching construction methods, materials and details principally across timber, masonry, steel and concrete construction.

Case Study 1: individual research project on the recently completed Tintagel Bridge in Cornwall, identifying & reproducing the structure through typical documentation and scale models

Case Study 2: provided an open ‘build anything brief’ - with a budget of £300 and needing to complete project from design to construction completion by ourselves, this was a huge ‘learning by making’ process that proved an eye opener to physical construction, programming & scheduling, bespoke construction detailing and large scale team management as leading project manager for a team of 25 students.

Case Study 3: joint research project on Cannon Place tube station. 8 week study and comprehensive digital modelling of the structure, as well as structural detailing.
